WordPress is super easy platform and lets you make your desired changes. But sometimes it is not easy to get your desired effect. For example, you cannot change a post into a page that easily. By default, WordPress won't allow you to change post type.

Posts are very common than pages; it's very easy to accidentally create a post instead of creating a page. I have done it several times too, and WordPress treats them exactly the same unless you have any specific customizations that are immediately visible.

Even you won't notice the difference until you have published the post and see that it comes with a comment section! Or that it shows up on your blog when you have just published an 'About Us' page, for instance!

Now there's no other way but to create the whole content for the page again and delete the current post. I don't prefer deleting the current post and create all the same content for the page again. Therefore it's very much logical to convert the post into a page.

How To Turn A WordPress Post Into A Page

By default, you cannot change a post into a page in WordPress. Copy-pasting all the contents to a new page then deleting the old post is not the best approach. Fortunately, you can accomplish it using a plugin.

You can use Post Type Switcher to turn a post into a page. At first, install this plugin and activate it. Now open the post that you want to turn into a page.

In the right menubar, right above the 'Update/Publish' button, you will notice a new type of column called 'Post Type.'

From the options, select 'Page' and click on the update. Your entire post will be instantly changed into a page.

Similarly, you can reverse this by choosing the Post type to 'Post.' You can even convert any posts to pages and products. It's totally up to you.
